NATIVE GRAPES

The wines made at the family estate are the result of the deep respect and love for the land, and are the fruits of native grapes, such as Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola, Catarratto, Frappato and Nerello Mascalese. Among them, also an international outsider, such as Syrah, cultivated in Sicily for a long time now. They are all grown organically, harvested and vinified in a non-invasive way, without the addition of chemicals or genetically modified organisms.

THE SULFITE-FREE PROJECT

The wines of the Contrade range, obtained exclusively from indigenous grapes, are great representatives of the Sicilian wine tradition: Grillo of the Gilletto district and Nero d’Avola from the Ramisella district, both vinified as a single grape wine.

These two wines are characterized not only by the organic origin and certification, but also by the non-addition of sulfur dioxide during the wine making phases. This “non-interventionist” choice requires an harvest of perfectly healthy grapes and even greater attention and care during all the stages of production, in order to preserve the integrity of the clusters, without any compromise.

If you don’t force nature, working for it and not against, you can obtain, spontaneously, its best fruits.
